Who is Judy Sheindlin?

Judge Judy wed her first husband, Ronald Levy, in 1964, and they went on to have two children together: Jamie and Adam. The couple divorced in 1976, putting an end to their love after it had been going strong for 12 years. In 1977, she wed for the second time to Jerry Sheindlin, who had previously served as a judge on New York’s highest court. Sheindlin was a former member of the Supreme Court of New York. In 1990, while the marriage was going through a difficult time, they decided to get a divorce.

The pair quickly concluded that their decision to divorce was unwise and reconciled their marriage in 1991; they continue to enjoy a healthy and happy union to this day. Gregory, Jonathan, and Nicole are Judith’s stepchildren, and they were all born to Sheindlin. Judith is a stepmother to all three of Sheindlin’s children. In addition, the joyful couple has 13 grandkids between them.

On October 21, 1942, Judith Susan Blum was born in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, United States. Her parents were Murray Blum and Ethel Silverman. She speaks of her mother with affection and describes her as “a meat-and-potatoes sort of gal.” She refers to her father as “the best thing since sliced bread.” She is the middle child of three. James Madison High School in Brooklyn was where she completed all of her studies.

The next year, in 1963, Judith graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in government from American University in Washington, District of Columbia. There, she was the sole female student out of a total of 126 students in her class. She earned her legal degree from New York Law School in the city of New York, where the school is located. In 1965, she was awarded the degree of Juris Doctor and also succeeded in her attempt to pass the New York bar examination.

In addition to the degrees she earned in her academic studies, she also has honorary Doctor of Law degrees from the University at Albany SUNY, New York Law School, and Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania. In 1965, Judith Sheindlin began her legal career by accepting a position as a corporate lawyer with a beauty company. She quit her position after two years because she found being a corporate lawyer to be unsatisfying, and she wanted to dedicate her time to raising her two children instead of working.

She was a corporate lawyer. In 1972, she began practicing law once again, this time working in a family court. After an interim period of time, New York City Mayor Edward Koch appointed her to a position as a judge in the criminal court of the Bronx branch of the family court in the year 1982. In 1986, she was given the title of Supervising Judge in the branch of the Manhattan family court that was located in Manhattan.

Judge Judith’s temperament was one that was simple, and because of this, she was able to command the attention and respect of regular people due to the no-nonsense approach she took to her work. A story published in the Los Angeles Times in February 1993 hailed Judge Judith as a “legal superheroine” and included a profile of her. People on a vast scale were interested in the tale when it became public. As a direct consequence of this, she was profiled on the legendary television news magazine program known as “60 Minutes.”

As a result of the success of the television program ’60 Minutes’ on CBS, Judge Judith has gained a significant amount of notoriety in the field of law. Her debut book, titled “Don’t Pee On My Leg and Tell Me It’s Raining,” was released the same year, in 1996. In the same year, she called it quits after more than 20,000 cases and 25 years of practice in family court. During her tenure, she presided over more than 20,000 cases.

Due to the fact that she was so well-liked by the general public, she was offered the chance to host her very own reality TV program called “Judge Judy,” which began airing in national syndication in September of 1996. The concert was a significant turning point in her rapidly developing career. In February of 1999, Judge Judy released her second book, titled “Beauty Fades, Dumb Is Forever,” which quickly rose to the top of the best-seller list in The New York Times.

Judith’s third book, titled “Win or Lose by How You Choose,” was released at the beginning of the year 2000. It was a guidebook for parents on how to instruct their children in the art of making sound choices. It was her very first novel geared toward young readers. After that, she wrote a book with the catchy title “You Can’t Judge a Book by Its Cover.” The connection between parents and children, as well as moral principles, was the subject of both of these writings.

She published another book about resolving ordinary family arguments in the year 2000 titled “Keep It Simple, Stupid: You’re Smarter Than You Look.” This book was also a big seller on the New York Times best-seller list. Judge Judy has been profiled on a variety of television shows, including ‘Saturday Night Live,’ ‘Nightline,’ ‘CBS Sunday Morning,’ ‘Celebrity Profile,’ ‘Headliners & Legends on MSNBC, ‘Biography’ on A&E, and ‘Intimate Portrait’ on Lifetime Television.

She authored two books in the 2010s with the titles “What Would Judy Say: A Grown-Up Guide To Living Together With Benefits” and “What Would Judy Say: Be The Hero Of Your Own Story.”Relevant ways are provided below to contact Judy Sheindlin.
